About Us:
Really, we’re just a bunch of Rock Band fans that wanted somewhere more exciting to play than our own living room.

A Brief History:
In July 2011 Ash celebrated his 30th Birthday at The Royal George, one of Sohos hidden gems. The event took over the basement of the pub and, as it was a special occasion and he knew it would be popular with his guests he brought along a projector, a screen, and a complete set of Rock Band instruments. It was popular, very popular in fact. So popular that the party ended up with some gatecrashers, albeit terribly polite gatecrashers. The Landlord loved the idea and thus was a seed of an idea planted, an agreement formed and work began on what would become ‘Rock Club London’.

The setup for that first party had been pretty rudimentary and essentially a pub based version of everyone gathering in someones living room around a television. But the idea had formed to make this something bigger. Something better. The projector and screen would still play a role, but now it would be for the audience to view. The performers, who had previously had their backs to the rest of the basement would now be facing stage front and with each with their own monitor. It was a plan that could have failed miserably. Thankfully it didn’t.

Rock Club London’s first event was held on the 24th of September 2011 and with each month the event continues to evolve. Lighting, new instrument controllers, modified stage setup, smoke machine… and clearly it’s working as the people continue to come. People who attended that first event on a whim are now regulars who we see monthly.
